OPIS WYDARZENIA
The concert will feature oberek melodies, primarily from the Przysucha region near Radom, gathered from fiddlers and singers of the older generation during more than a decade of exploring traditional music through oral transmission. Usually sung and played on the fiddle, these melodies will now be performed on a miniature classical guitar. A visual accompaniment to the concert will be a film, recorded in collaboration with Gary Gwadera on a VHS cassette during a tour of suburban villages on Corpus Christi Day 2024.
